Key Roles and Responsibilities

The IR ID will contribute to all aspects of the IR function at Meridiam:

  • Maintaining and servicing relationship with existing investors:
    • ensuring regular touchpoints,
    • preparing and participating in meetings,
    • answering requests
    • preparing quarterly reports
  • Initiating and developing relationships with potential investors
  • Fundraising for new funds
    • Drafting fundraising documentation
    • Preparing fund documentation
    • Supporting investor due diligence (commercial and legal)
    • Ensuring compliance with regulation
  • Systematically coordinating and tracking IR activities:
    • Tracking of touch points and requests
    • Leveraging CRM
    • Tracking contractual commitments
  • Ensuring compliance of IR activities with Meridiam processes and regulation
  • Deploying Co-investment

Promoting and supporting other strategic initiatives with investors

Job requirements

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships both internally, and externally to the company with international partners.
  • Ability to present complex ideas clearly and articulately – across a number of products, in a precise and nuanced manner
  • Ability to sell and to close on a commitment
  • Ability to think strategically
  • Excellent Project management skills: to efficiently lead complex projects requiring multiple inputs in a short timeframe
  • Technical knowledge: The position will require to have and/or build a very good knowledge and understanding
    • of the infrastructure sector, and particularly of the greenfield market in Europe, North America, Africa
    • of Meridiam’s unique positioning in the market and value add
    • of Meridiam’s approach to ESG and Ethics
    • of the nature and structure of projects in which the Fund invests and in particular the structures implemented to manage risks, and ultimately of the actual performance of the projects
    • of the legal, compliance, finance and operations activities of Meridiam
  • Competent with financial data
  • Detail oriented and ability to develop a highly nuanced reasoning
  • Excellent written skills in English
  • Advanced degree in business or engineering
  • Entrepreneurial, creative and proactive
  • Experience in the infrastructure sector and/or in investor relations and fundraising roles
